The machine, which is SW's so far largest 5-axis machining center, is available in two basic versions - as a 5-axis machining center with a 2-axis milling head, or as a 3-axis version with a fixed main spindle (HSK 63). The 2-axis milling head variant enables machining from almost any angle. The very strong construction ensures a very high accuracy and dynamism which brings long tool life and perfect surfaces.
The tool magazine for BA space3 is a chain magazine with 40 tool slots, which can optionally be expanded to 80 tool slots. The maximum tool length is 450 mm. All axes are equipped with linear drives with a speed of up to 120 m / min. BA space3 makes it possible to process large parts very quickly and very accurately.
